Suicide Awareness

Suicide is when someone takes their own life. It can be caused by many different factors. The main cause of suicide is mental illness, which is sometimes genetic. There is normally more than one thing that contributes to suicide. Signs that someone is becoming suicidal are if they lose interest in activities that they did enjoy, or even exhibiting suicidal thoughts. If you see any of these signs contact a suicide helpline or talk to a trusted adult. Around 34,000 people commit suicide in the U.S. per year. It's our goal to spread awareness on how important it is to be aware of early signs of suicidal thoughts and support those with mental illness, which is why we made a scratch presentation.
